I have a Bachelor’s degree and an MSc in Marine Ecology from Universidade
Federal Fluminense. During my graduation, I used photo-identification and citizen
science (@mardetartaruga) to describe the spatial-temporal parameters for two sea
turtle species, Chelonia mydas and Eretmochelys imbricata, that inhabit Arraial do
Cabo - Rio de Janeiro. My research during my Master’s degree focused on exploring
the feeding ecology and evaluating if the upwelling phenomenon that occurs in
Arraial do Cabo alters the diet of C. mydas.

Currently, I am also working on the Costão Rochoso Project. In this project, I am
responsible for monitoring sea turtles in Arraial do Cabo and conducting
environmental awareness activities. My main interests are marine conservation,
ecology, animal behavior, and scientific communication.
