I’m a marine biologist from Universidade Federal Fluminense (2020). During my
graduation, I used photo-identification and citizen science (@mardetartaruga) to describe
spatial-temporal parameters for two sea turtle species, Chelonia mydas and Eretmochelys
imbricata, that inhabit Arraial do Cabo - Rio de Janeiro.
Currently, I’m an MSc student in marine ecology at UFF. I keep on studying both species in
Arraial do Cabo. My focus is to evaluate how water temperature and individuals’ size
influence sea turtles’ distribution and feeding habits. The data will provide subsidies for the
management plan of the RESEX Mar of Arraial do Cabo, supporting a zoning plan that
highlights critical areas for sea turtle development. My main interests are marine
conservation, ecology, animal behavior, and scientific communication.
