I am a marine biologist from Colombia. I received my B.Sc. in biology from the
University of Valle (Cali, Colombia) in 2009. My undergrad thesis was entitled
“Cleaning interactions in fishes of the genus Tigrigobius at Gorgona Island,
Colombia” was supervised by Dr. Fernando A. Zapata.  In 2010, I moved to Brazil
to work with new people and in a different environment. During this time I received
my M.Sc. degree in Ecology at Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC). My
master’s thesis was focused on a comparison of reef fishes assemblages in
oceanic islands.
