I am a biologist with a PhD in Animal Biology from the Universidade Federal do Espírito
Santo (UFES). During my PhD, I studied the nutritional ecology of nominally herbivorous
fishes on different temporal and spatial scales using dietary and stable isotope analyses.
Yet during the PhD, I partnered with Dr Kendall Clements (University of Auckland – New
Zealand), and Dr John Howard Choat at the James Cook University (Australia), where I
spent a few months working on the nutritional and growth patterns of herbivorous reef
fishes.

I’m currently a postdoctoral researcher (Universidade Federal Fluminense – UFF)
investigating the many nuances on the nutritional ecology of nominally herbivorous fishes
and the niche partitioning within this group along the Brazilian Coast, and the oceanic
Trindade Island using multiple investigation tools.
